Week 12 - Wrap up; social networks and catch up

Social networking can be one more way of reaching the public and promoting library services and events. It could be a good way for customers to leave the comments, suggestions or complaints.I am a member of Facebook for a year and i like the way you can be in touch with family and friends overseas.

Week 11 - Online applications and tools

Google doc is much simpler and easier for use than zoho. It is good way of saving your document if you dont have a memory stick and you can acces it from any computer. Google doc can be used in the library for minutes from the meetings or for staff working on the same project.

Week 10 - Mashups

Keir Clarke Star Viewer is very interesting thing. Although I am not much into the star it was good to see that. Something new for me.

I enjoyed in mashups, it was good and interesting experience for me. I've made a calendar and a poster of my beaufiful dog. This is very good tool for library. We can use it to promote activities in the library, school holiday activities, all activities for kids and events in general. It can be helpful for preparing craft making something new or we can organize workshops for school kids during school holiday.

Week 9 - Podcast and Audio

I really like stories for children at Denver Public Library. I listen some podcast from the British Library and some from the ABC and some linked on the library success wiki.
Podcast and audio could be used in many ways in the library for example: for HSC lectures, book reviews, special events,author talks, storytime (like Denver Library),have a page with podcast of answers to frequently asked questions,create tutorials how to use the library
Virtual tours of the library using Vodcast or create training vodcast for library staff.
